The V2500 Aeroderivative Generator Set (project code AeroVolt-30V) is built on a retired V2500 commercial aero engine. The twin-spool gas generator is retained and re-lifed, and a free power turbine designed by Huatian drives a two-pole synchronous generator directly at 3,600 rpm, with no reduction gearbox. Huatian’s scope covers donor-engine rebuild, power turbine, DLE combustor, controls and package interfaces under one engineering definition. Rated at 25 MW on natural gas, it is suited to AI data center prime and bridge power, multi-unit plants and grid peaking, and offshore and oilfield power. Module-exchange maintenance returns the unit to service within days. First unit ships in Q2 2027.
