Huatian Enters the North American AI Data Centre Power Market

First core gas turbine engineered for North American AIDC deployment arrives in Wuxi

WUXI, China, 17 June 2026 — The first NovaLT™ 16 core gas turbine engineered specifically for North American AI data centre deployment has arrived at Huatian Gas Turbine’s Wuxi headquarters facility, marking the company’s formal entry into that market.
As an authorised Baker Hughes partner in China, Huatian works with the proven NovaLT platform: 16.9 MW output, over 36 percent simple-cycle efficiency, up to 84 percent combined heat and power efficiency, 35,000-hour maintenance interval and rapid load response matched to volatile GPU power draw. The unit holds the UL and EPA certifications required for US site deployment. The company’s self-developed HGT-2 platform is separately advancing through EPA emissions testing.
For edge sites Huatian delivers a single integrated module rather than a generator: natural gas in, regulated 480 V / 60 Hz three-phase power out, with generation, voltage regulation, battery storage, distribution and waste heat recovery all in scope. A 2 MW gas turbine carries base load, a 2 MW / 4 MWh battery covers peaks and bridging with black start in under 60 seconds, and the grid stands by — parallel non-export, IEEE 1547 compliant. Containerised and plug-and-play, power delivery begins within two to four weeks of arrival on site.

Gas turbines supply continuous 24/7 base-load power, while super flywheels (μs physical inertia) and BESS (20 ms) buffer dynamic AI workload fluctuations during gas turbine ramping (3–5 min). Across independent MV feeds, the system guarantees >99.99% availability, steady-state voltage within ±1%, and THD under 5% with N+1 redundancy.
